Next week:
  • Babya not  for:why there's no 2009 BusinessBooks releases
  • Where they are now-we discuss the future of bZip and other forgotten Babya software

Reader Mail & Rumor Report-March 9, 2008

In today's reader mail & rumor report, we note the release of Babya Logic Express 3.1, the discontinuation of Babya HD-DVD Designer.

Also-we have a  report on what Babya's announcing this week!

Logic Express 3.1:
Babya Logic Express 3.1 is now available to download.

This update provides general fixes.

Download:
http://www.winsite.com/bin/Info?35500000036545

Babya HD-DVD Designer discontinued:
As you may know, the HD-DVD format has been discontinued by Toshiba (so no more players will be developed and marketed).

This is the format that Babya HD-DVD Designer supported.

What does that mean to those who create interactive content with our software.

Well, we have decided to discontinue development Babya HD-DVD Designer.

Babya will provide support for exsisting users of Babya HD-DVD Designer until December 31, 2008.

We do not have any plans to develop or release at this time a similar product for Blu-ray.

Babya to announce 2 new applications this week:
Babya will be announcing 2 new Babya software products this week-one of them is photo related.

The other is something that's not been part of Babya's software offerings-all we can say for now that it is a innovative and exciting .NET/WPF based solution.

Could the first product be Babya Photo?

Our sources suggest that it is not Babya Photo, but rather a lightweight photo viewer (rumored to be called Babya Photo Browser).

That's all for this week's report.
