In today's Reader Mail & Rumor Report, we note the release of Babya BookSmart and Babya Spotlight 1.1 and we preview some of the new features in Babya System '08.

Babya BookSmart

Babya BookSmart is now available to download.

BookSmart is a complete, customable and free library management system which you can be able to use it for any college school or institution and for other types of business (eg. book retailers) or personal use .

The system can be able to perform inventory process on books, borrowing books, returning borrowed books as well as monitoring them all.

It also comes with a secure user management system and security system and lot,lot more in one application.

Babya System '08 preview
Below is a sneak preview of some of the features that will be included with the upcoming Banya System '08.

Desktop4
A new feature in Babya System '08 will allow you to have multiple virtual desktops is Babya Desktop4.

Many other operating systems such as Linux or Mac OS X 10.5 "Leopard" include a virtual desktop.


Babya System '08's Desktop4 application does this in Windows via a attractive launcher.


You can have a desktop dedicated to a specific task-eg. you might setup Desktop4 like this: games on desktop #2, one for Office on #1, and for 2 different types of Babya apps on #3 & #4.

On each virtual desktop you can have different wallpapers, icons, folders, colors, etc.


Desktop4 is very unobstrusive-you can position it anywhere on your desktop.

Babya Virtual Drive

Babya Virtual Drive lets you create virtual drives from folders without using Subst.exe.

Babya Virtual Drive will also be available to run from the Babya System control panel

Using Babya Virtual Drive:
[1] Start Babya Virtual Drive.
[2] Select Drive Letter from list of drive Letters.
[3] See if you can use this Drive letter under Drive Type info.
[4] Select Folder which you want to mount as Drive. You also can Drag a folder into the textbox.
[5] Click on Mount button to Mount it or else click on the Unmount button to Unmount the virtual drive

You can also use two keyboard shortcuts:
Ctrl+M-mounts the virtual drive
Ctrl+U-unmounts the virtual drive

Babya Virtual Application Platinum

One of the features of the upcoming Babya System 2008 (15.0) will include is Babya Virtual Application Platinum-a remote desktop type server/client designed especially for applications-such as small utilities.

Babya System '08 will be released in mid-2007.

Babya Spotlight 1.1

Babya Spotlight 1.1 is now available to download.

It is a recommended update for users of Babya System '06.

Babya Spotlight 1.1 gives you quick access to multiple search engines-such as Google and Lycos from the system tray.


It's very unobustrive and can be run from a USB flash drive.

Announced at the Babya media event -Babya Discoverer RSS 12.5 is now available-with support for IE 7.0 and Windows Vista.

Easy to use web browser that blocks popup ads by default.
New features include tabbed browsing and a built in PDF converter.

Babya Discoverer Express:
